ABOUT ME
Welcome to Change With Dane
I’ve been through this journey and know how challenging it can be. Transitioning often means losing family connections, community, and even your sense of self and the world. It’s a tough road, but also an opportunity for growth. My goal is to help others navigate these changes in a healthy, constructive way—finding peace, building strength, and creating a fulfilling life.

About Myself
Change with Dane provides therapy to help cult survivors rebuild peace and purpose in their lives.
I’m a retired Air Force officer with 27 years of service under my belt. I’m also a licensed clinical social worker, and even though I spent much of my later career in leadership roles, I never lost my passion for helping patients. During my time in the Air Force, I went through one of the toughest challenges of my life—leaving a lifelong, high-demand religion. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me so much about resilience and growth. Now that I’ve stepped away from the military, I’m focused on helping others who are facing the challenges of leaving high-demand groups, religions, or cults. As an experienced therapist with my own lived experience, I’m here to support and guide others on this journey.
How I Can Help You?
At Change with Dane, I provide therapy and support for those seeking to leave high-demand groups or religions, offering a safe space to rediscover themselves and rebuild their lives. Having worked with many cult survivors, I understand how complex and overwhelming this journey can feel. But I also know that healing and growth are possible—because I’ve seen it happen time and time again.
My approach is grounded in compassion and tailored to your unique story. Together, we’ll work to untangle the past, reclaim your sense of self, and create a future full of hope and meaning. It’s not about forgetting what you’ve been through; it’s about finding strength in your resilience and turning the page toward a brighter chapter.
